Position description
The section head leads and manages a Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) section and participates in the coordination and leadership activities of the division. Develops and maintains internal and external client, vendor, and peer relationships. Is a mentor and coach to HTM staff. Represents the section and participates in HTM task groups and institution committees and groups. Plans and manages Mayo resources (project, people, facilities, money and equipment) in an effective and efficient manner. Develops and fosters strategies and directions that support section and division goals and objectives. Provide leadership in the selection, installation and ongoing support of medical and IT equipment; may serve as secretary, assistant secretary, or member of HTM for institutional committees.

The candidate selected for this position will be required to spend a significant amount of time onsite at Mayo Clinic's Rochester, MN campus. Will also travel to other Mayo Clinic locations as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience. Experienced with committee and consensus-managed, physician-led organization. Requires skill in effective decision making and effective consensus management. Strong understanding of finance, business processes, budgeting and human resources development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring.Must have demonstrated experience with leading medical equipment repair/service teams, preferably within a large and complex healthcare delivery organization. Experience leading biomed, radiology and/or laboratory equipment repair technicians is also preferred but not required.
Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Additional qualifications
Master’s degree preferred with 6 years of experience. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience with managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied products and services. Some travel may be required in this position.
Compensation Detail
$152,360.00 - $220,916.80 / year
Schedule details
Full time position, typical hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, however, additional/occasional hours including evenings and weekends as determined by workload, needs of the practice, and the leadership team. Incumbents are expected to be available as needed to address urgent/critical demand from the Clinical Practice and other technical support areas.
